Reviews for: Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup
A hearty combination of beans, corn, tomatoes, and taco seasonings, slow cooked with shredded chicken. Deliciously finished, if you like, with Cheddar cheese, sour cream, and crushed tortilla chips. Made mostly of canned ingredients, this tasty soup let's the slow cooker do the work so you don't have to!

"i was very happy with this one. for chili beans, i used kidney beans...im assuming that was what was meant. definitely dont skip the beer. i used bud. doubled it for a large party, and had no leftovers. i made jalapeno cornbread to go with it. (homesteader cornbread recipe from this site w/ jalapenos added to batter.)"

"This was a wonderful dish and can't wait to make it again. With some of the left overs I made Nachoes. Just melted cheese over the top with a splash of sour cream. Yum!"

"I love this recipe! So easy to make and adjust to your tastes. I've done it with and without the beer, and have used different types of beer. It's good either way."

"This was easy and great. I dumped all the ingredients in the crock pot and let it cook for 5 hours. Mine was done then and I didn't need for it to cook the extra two hours. I think my crock pot cooks faster than most. Easy and delicious!"

"My husband made us this soup yesterday and we *LOVED* it. He followed the recipe as written, not changing a single thing. He didn't top his with sour cream, but I did. I made homemade tortilla chips. This recipe is a keeper! *SO* easy, delicious, and cheap to make!!"

"This is the best soup. I did not use beer, instead I used chicken broth. It was hit at my party."

"This was great! Exactly how you would want it to taste! We ate it two nights in a row even, we couldn't get enough and it was even better the 2nd night! We topped it with fritos, sour cream and cheese! Yum! Thanks!"

"Pretty good. I had everything on hand, and always do! I did use the taco seasoning from this site and it was very yummy. The reason I did not give it a 5 star was because there was just something missing, not sure what tho. How ever will make again! P.S. if you dont have sour cream I would not make this recipe! The sour Cream makes this 100x better!"

"this was really tasty. i bought a rotisserie chicken and pulled thechicken off of it! that was really yummy! i was a little nervous to add the beer in there, but you cant even taste it. i used a bottled corona. Next time i am going to make it with the homemade taco seasonings though. i really think that will make it taste amazing! great recipe though. gotta try it!"

"This was excellent. I was not very confident about this recipe initially because it was my first crockpot endeavor and most of the ingredients are canned, which made me fear that this was going to taste like canned soup. I also used packaged taco mix and frozen chicken breasts in this recipe. It was fast enough for me to put together between school and work (20 minutes to eat lunch and prepare dinner) and when I got home from work, the entire apartment smelled like delicious chili. I served it with tortilla chips and homemade guacamole and it was fabulous. My boyfriend liked it, too, so it is definitely going into the rotation. Perfect for a rainy day in Seattle, but I can see it shining as a summer potluck chili, too."

"Delicious, easy soup to make. Only change I made was to add kidney beans as I was out of chili beans...was still yummy."

"this soup was an absolute hit at my dinner party. We do a thing called a "soup swap". It was so so good. It tended to be a little thicker like a chili. To take care of that, I imagine you would just add a bit of water or another can of tomato sauce. I garnished with fresh cilantro, sprinkle of cheddar cheese and a dollop of sour cream. Definately will be making this again!!! Even better the day after."

"Very tasty, filling & super-easy! I followed the recipe (used a bit less onion as that's all I had) & I used the beer (12 oz bud lite). Delicious topped with cheese, sour cream & tortilla chips. Definitely a keeper."
