Reviews for: Cha Cha's White Chicken Chili
Delicious white bean chili. Cha Cha says: 'It's kinda spicy, so watch out!' Substitute mild green chiles for the jalapenos if you're scared! Use more chicken and cheese as desired.

"This was nice and light and it tasted pretty good, but I found it was more spicy than flavourful. I omitted the jalapenos and used only green chiles. Next time I will probably leave out the cayenne. Nice to eat on a cool day."

"This was wonderful! I used previous advice and started with half the cumin and cayenne pepper. I nixed the jalapenos (too hot for me!). After tasting I added a dash more of cumin and it was perfect!"

"I too toned down the spices because I have kids and they loved it. I used four cans of cannellini beans--pureed two in the blender with the chicken broth before adding it to the crock pot. It was the perfect thick consistency. I will make it again and again."

"Very good after reviewing some of the recommendations. From the original photo it looks way too thin so I also pureed one can of the white beans. I also added a tsp. of Chipolte Chili Seasoning. I used the 50% low sodium chicken broth too. Oh, the fiesta corn was awesome added to this! ;) 2 cans of broth is the perfect amount. I did not add the Jalapenos because I was afraid it would be a tad to spicy but I personally would love that. My kids thought it was too spicy but young kids can't usually tolerate heat but I thought it was mild. Next batch I will add the Jalapenos and add a full tsp. of Cayenne Pepper. I only used 1/2 tsp. for this one. It wasn't hot at all to me! The texture is very good. Not too thin or too thick. Perfect...IF you follow some of the recommendations. The taste is very good and the spices are perfect. A must try! Just add/subtract ingredients to your personal liking. ;)
UPDATE:
Using the Jalapenos makes this dish VERY hot. Most people will not be able to tolerate that so be selective here with your ingredients. I personally love to sweat eating soup. LOL! Very good!
Everyone who has tried this soup loves it. Make it without the Jalapenos if you plan to feed people you aren't familiar with. They may not like it that spicy."

"It's the Best! my kids usually do NOT try no dishes but they loved this. We now make this recipe monthly. I like mine thicker and usually add blended cheeses which I melt on top and top with sour cream. Yummy on cold days."

"We love this recipe so much! We like some heat but I reduce the cayenne to 1/2 tsp and it's fantastic!"

"If I could give this recipe more than five stars I would. I think my husband would even give it 10 stars. I made this recipe exactly as instructed. The finished project is just magnificent. It is definitely a spicy dish, but light and packed with flavor. For the chicken, I used leftover rotisserie chicken from the market, cut up, and for the beans I used great northern beans. Thank you Cha Cha!"

"Based on other reviews I was prepared to alter the recipes as follows: cut out jalapeno peppers, double the green chile peppers, substitute 1 can of chicken broth with cream of chicken soup, and use 4 cans of beans w/ one can mashed. However, as I was making the chili I was worried about it becoming too soupy. I drained the cans of beans before adding them. After I added two cans, I thought it look like enough beans so that is all I used. I have five young children so I cut the cayenne pepper by 1/2. The thickness came out perfect...not too soupy, and it wasn't too spicy either. Will definately make again. Thanks for a great recipe"

"This is not bad, but it's nothing special. It's too spicy to taste anything other than hotness, but it's pretty clear that it wouldn't taste like much of anything if you toned down the spice."

"This is a really good recipe. Had a lot of heat and I only added a very small bit of jalapeno peppers! Careful with the peppers!!"

"LOVED this with a few modifications: After reading reviews, I only used about 1/2 the jalapenos, and instead of the green chile peppers, I used Herndez salsa verde (about 1/2 cup) because I usually have it on hand. I also only used 2 cans of beans (and fork-mashed about 1/2 of the first can). SO SO SO good."

"GREAT recipe! I doubled all spices and instead of red pepper, I added 1tsp cayenne pepper. Garnished with sour cream and cheese, it was unbelievable!"

"Our whole family loved this! I added some hot taco sauce to my serving to spice it up. I'll be making this again and again!!!"
